Lighting Design for Industrial Event

This project was to design a lighting rig for an industrial event. I chose to do a themed gala event inspired by Moulin Rouge and the Greatest Showman.

 

I added draped curtains from the ceiling which blocked me from doing a traditional straight rig, so I chose a circular one to light the stage area and more arched ones forming a ring around the perimeter of the ballroom.

I designed a few static looks that could occur during the event including a base look for guests to walk around and mingle, and a lower-light more dramatic look for performances onstage.
